What is Pickleball?
A fun, highly addictive, tactical game, played on a badminton sized court, indoors or outdoors, often in pairs, that has elements of tennis, squash, badminton and table tennis. Reportedly the fastest growing sport in North America with a 12% growth in player numbers in the USA in the last year alone. A game invented over 50 years ago which is said to be named after its inventors dog named "Pickles".
The sport is fast emerging in the U.K. with over 1000 registered players signing up to Pickleball England in 2019.
The best way to experience this game played with a plastic paddle (a hard racquet) and a plastic ball (whiffle ball) is to get on court and give it a go. WARNING - it's highly addictive.
